My current work focuses on landscapes that bring attention to the natural environment we often take for granted and ‘urban-scapes’, locations that we may pass by in our day-to-day city life without a second glance. It could be the familiar or something that I have just seen for the first time that inspires a painting – an impression of the setting. Often, I paint ‘en plein air’ finding it exhilarating and immediate. In each piece that I create, I hope to achieve a look that is painterly and fresh. ” — Carol
